2026 Step Up For Bears

Since launching our Great Bear Rescue mission in 2017, we have rescued 56 bears in Armenia from unimaginable suffering. But their rescue is just the first step towards recovery... giving these bears the love and care they deserve is costly!

That's why, this July, we're inviting you to Step Up For Bears and walk  56 miles in honour of these 56 bears – one mile for every bear rescued!

🚶 When: 1st – 31st July 2026

📍Where: Anywhere – your street, the park, the gym, you choose!

🎟 Entry: £5/$7/€5.95 

🎯 Fundraising Target: £50/ $70/€50

🎁 Incentives: Your first donation = an IAR T-shirt, raising the fundraising target = a Step Up For Bears medal, raising £100/$140/€100 or over = a special Step Up For Bears bandana or soft toy bear.

These rescued bears were once trapped in cages, many in heart-breaking conditions. Your Step Up For Bears sponsorship and donations will help ensure these bears receive the expert treatment, constant care and compassion that they so desperately deserve!
